News from the Trenches 31 May 19

So, it’s been over two and a half months since I last posted anything, never mind about The Soulforger Chronicles (hereinafter TSC). My online life moved from a long weekend away (I don’t do online anything when camping unless something is quite literally in danger of burning down if I don’t) to an unexpected hiatus. This was largely fueled by real-world events which demanded my immediate and ongoing attention, coupled with my need to focus on edits and rewrites for TSC: Adeptus, as well as finishing TSC: Sybarite, which I’m pleased to report I typed “The End” on yesterday at 12:04am PST. I’ve also got plans and a few detached scenes in place for the next book in the series, tentatively titled TSC: Outcast, which I will start working on seriously in the next two weeks.

Since I’m not sure how much is too much to talk about right now, with the next Pitch Madness Party coming up on Twitter next week and a pressing need to reveal no spoilers at the moment, I want to ask you, gentle reader, what you’d like to know more about. These topics are just suggestions. If you have something else you’d like me to discuss, please leave a comment with your ideas!

Do you want to hear about:

  1. Real-life inspirations for the weapons of TSC?
  2. The structure of the magickal society of TSC?
  3. Magickal legends and lore which inspired TSC?
  4. Something else?

Leave a comment and cast your vote. I’ll start talking about these subjects next week, in order of the votes they receive.

Have a great weekend, and I hope I’ll be able to be more consistent about posting here moving forward!
